14TH ASIANIA PARACHUTING CHAMPIONSHIP
AND INTERNATIONAL OPEN
Fuyang City, Anhui Province, China

Amendments from Bulletin 1 are noted in Blue.
The 14th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships consists of the following:
· 14th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships
· CHINA International Parachuting Open
The event is governed under the auspices of the Asiania Parachuting Federation
(FAI Sporting Code General Section and Sporting Code Section 5 will be followed).
2. Aims of the 14th Asiania Parachuting Championships:
· To determine Asiania Parachuting Champions and China International Open Champions.
- To create new Asiania Parachuting Records.
- To promote the development of parachuting in Asiania.
- To exchange experience and strengthen friendly relations between the sport parachutists of all Asiania members.
- To allow participants to share and exchange experience, knowledge and information.

5. Period of Event:
October 15th – October 23rd, 2011
6. Location:
Fuyang city,
7. Travel Details within China:
a). By air
If you enter China from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, You can choose to fly to Fuyang from these big cities;
b). By train
If you plan to go to Fuyang by train from Beijing or Shanghai, you need to find the proper trains, because there are many trains to Fuyang from Beijing and Shanghai.
For the flight information and train schedule, it will be published on www.asiania.org and www.soaring.org.cn very soon. Please pay attention to these two websites. And Fuyang local organizer will also create a website for the Championship, these information will also published in it. We will make a link to the website in Bulletin 3.
8. Events: Minimums rounds as per FAI rules
- Freefall Style - individual (male and female) 3 rds/min1 round
- Accuracy Landing - team (male and female) 8 rounds/min5 rds
- Accuracy Landing - individual (male and female) 8 rds taken from
team scores plussemi & final rounds (min5 rds)
- Overall S/A - individual (male and female) as per min rds
- 4 Way Formation Skydiving Open - team 8 rounds/min 1 rd
- 4 Way CF Rotations - team 8 rounds/min 1 rd
- 2 Way CF Sequential - team 8 rounds/min 1 rd
9. Daily Schedule:
October 15 (Saturday): Arrival of the Teams
Orientation jumps 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm
Technical Conference for Judges 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm
October 16 (Sunday): Orientation jumps 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
Judges’ Technical Conference 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
Opening Ceremony 5.00 pm – 6.30 pm
Technical Briefing and Draw 7.30 pm – 9.00 pm
October 17 to 22(Monday to Friday): Competition 8.00 am - 6.00 pm
October 22 (Saturday): Morning: Reserve day OR
Close competition jumping 12.00 noon
Afternoon: Awards/Closing Ceremony 5.00 – 6.30 pm
Evening: Farewell Banquet 7.30 pm – 11.00 pm
October 23(Sunday): Departure of the teams
10. Judging
Weckbecker AMD system and Ground/Air Video will be used for Style and Accuracy events.
Judging for FS and CF events will be Air to Air video. Please ensure your camera is
FS and CF Teams will be required to provide or organize to have their own video camera person.
All video equipment must be able to deliver a PAL digital signal. If there are problems with this please advise Organizer as soon as possible. Experienced Videographer (video camera person) may be provided for a fee (to be advised next Bulletin) but early bookings are essential.
11. Judges Conference: 15th and 16th October 2011
Judge Conference will be conducted over the 2 day period – commencing 2 pm on 15th and all day on the 16th October. All nominated judges must attend if they wish to be considered for the official judging panel during the competition.
12. Asiania FAI Judge Training Course: Style, Accuracy, Formation Skydiving, Canopy Formation ( course is not able to be conducted in China this year)
13. Aircraft: All aircraft are side door exit
1) 2 x PC-6 (Pilatus Porter) exit speed is 80 knots, + - 5 knots, for all events, OR
2)1 x Yun-12 or Cessna 208(For Accuracy,FS and CF) plus Yun-5(An-2, for style) , exit speed is 80 knots, + - 5 knots.

14. Weather Conditions:
-Average Temperature is 20 degrees Celsius
-Average Wind Speed is 2 to 4 meters per second
15. Competition Site (Drop Zone):
The altitude of the DZ is 31 meters above sea level.
16. Entry Fees:
A. a) $500USD per competitor per category;
b) An additional fee of $50USDper competitor to compete in more than one category
c) $400USD per person for officials and accompanying personnel;
d) Official judges will be provided with accommodation and meals for the period.
Categories are:
1) Freefall Style and/or Accuracy
2) 4-Way Formation Skydiving Open
3) 4-Way Canopy Formation Rotations
4) 2-Way Canopy Formation Sequential
B. Entry received before July 31th - discount 100USD per team;
C. Entry received after September 1st - late entry fee of $100USD per team
D. Entry Fee will cover:
1. Hotel: From October 15th (night) to October 22nd (night);
2. Meals: From dinner of October 15th to breakfast of October 23rd;
3. Transportation: From Fuyang airport or Hefei airport to Hotel and return after the event;
4. Transportation: From hotel to DZ and back during the contest days;
5. Competition jumps including one Orientation Jump;
6. Welcome and farewell banquets;
7. Souvenirs
17. Eligility to compete:
ALL competitors must be members of a current FAI member country
14th Asiania Championshipsis open to countries/regions that are current financial members of the Asiania Parachute Federation (and FAI).
International Open: is open to Asiania and non Asiania member countries
Non-FAI countries may be permitted to compete but only as a “Guest Entry” status.
18. Composition of Delegation: (a – h)

e. Style and/or Accuracy Team:
Men - 5

f. 4-Way Formation Skydiving Open Team - 5
g. 4-Way CF Rotation Team - 5
h 2-Way CF Sequential Team - 3
19. Safety Requirements:
The main parachute must be open above 500 meters;
Jumpers must wear a helmet throughout the jump;
Ram Air main and Ram Air reserve to be used;
AAD and altimeter alarm is mandatory for Style, FS and CF;
20. Insurance:
Every jumper must have current personal life insurance;
The third party insurance will be organized by the event organizer;
Please contact the organizer if the participant does not have life insurance.
21. Visa Information: Visa information required as early as possible
If any team will require a Visa to come to China, please send the Entry Formthe passport copy of each participant to the Organizer as early as possible. and
The official visa application letter will then be sent to the delegation or participants shortly. Normally, China visa can be issued in about a week.
22. National/Regional Flag and Anthem:
Each participating team is kindly asked to bring 2 national/regional flags and 1 cassette/CD of their Anthem.
23. Awards:
Awards will be made separately for :
A. 14TH Asiania Parachuting Championships
1). The first three places of the individuals of each category will be awarded medals;
2). The first three places of the teams of each category will be awarded trophies.
B. China International Open
1). The first three places of the individuals of each category will be awarded medals;
2). The first three places of the teams of each category will be awarded trophies.
Insufficient numbers of individuals or teams will not attract the full complement of medals/trophies as applicable e.g minimum four teams or five individuals.
24. Entries / Registration: Form attached separately
1. Preliminary Entry: Before July 1st 2011 (Can be official entry if no changes later)
